Mobility Monday-Book Openers
A few years ago I taught English as a Second Language in Japan. I worked in nursery schools to junior high schools which involved a lot of standing and activities with the kids, yet I had loads of down time where I was basically hunched over my desk making lesson plans, scouring the Internet for new games and doing loads of trivia quizzes in between.
After a while, I noticed a stiffness in my thoracic spine (thats the upper part of your back yeah). I’d just started delving into mobility work and found Book Openers.
This exercise is great for opening up the chest and shoulders.Do 5-10 repetitions per side. If you’re a corporate type and at your desk a lot give this a try and let me know how it goes.
